From Food Writer and Sustainability Expert, Puneeta Chhitwal-Varma comes this "category-expanding" and "comforting yet inspiring" guide to low-waste, delicious cooking.
Good Food, Healthy Planet
Your Kitchen Companion to Simple, Practical, Sustainable Cooking
A cookbook that expands on the notion of 'good food' to include people and planet, Good Food, Healthy Planet (affectionately referred to as GFHP) eases the burden of decision-making in our day-to-day lives.
A Globe and Mail and National Post Top Cookbook of the Year, GFHP, has been featured widely in broadcast and print media, including CTV’s The Social, Breakfast Television, CHCH Morning Live, BBC World News, Elle Gourmet, The Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, and more.
With 250+ pages, 81 recipes, a framework that Puneeta cheekily named “Eating with Benefits,” along with a robust list of citations at the back, GFHP offers a new way to understand what we eat and how to cook it all with ease.

"Love your book, Puneeta! I love that you are encouraging me to think out of the (plastic) box and that you are willing to hold my hand (via your little shares at the top) while I do it. One of my favourite cookbook authors is Dorie Greenspan because she has a story that she shares about a recipe. I feel like you have done the same and more so because you are helping us be better stewards of this beautiful Earth. Sending lots of applause to you!"
- Stephanie K, Ontario, Canada

"Puneeta, I have been reading the information at the beginning of your book and I am loving that here, in your elegant words, I suddenly am reading about things that I have questioned and had only a budding understanding of. I see the connection between our food choices and the impact on the planet and I am so busy rethinking my playtime in the kitchen. I am exploring and trying more of your recipes. Thank you!"
