"It's modern-day comfort when you want to nourish yourself and the planet." – Julie Van Rosendaal, The Globe and Mail
Happy Earth Month! Happy Earth Day! Let’s celebrate our planet every day!
I’m getting ready to deliver a keynote address at the Women 4 Climate Toronto Celebration next week. The audience is incredible – it’s the participants of the City of Toronto climate programme and their families. I will be talking about climate action, my journey in this industry and the one big action that businesses, corporations and individuals can take to navigate through the mess we find ourselves in. I am very excited for the speech, and a little bit nervous too, so cross your fingers for me, please!
This is a closed event for invitees only, and I will come back and share afterwards – here and on Instagram too.
Drop me a note if you would like to invite me to speak to your group! Whether it’s your organization, team, community or corporation – let’s talk! Together, we can make change happen!
April is Earth Month! Last week on the 22nd, we celebrated the big mama – Mother Earth, Dharti Maa, Gaia, whatever you call her, the world celebrated her. Here’s the video I did for the occasion. My newsfeed has been filled with joyful people and images; it still is…along with so much advice. Frankly, it’s all feeling a little exhausting. I’m a total treehugger and sustainable living advocate. Climate action is a priority for me, and even I find my Earth Day newsfeed exhausting!

I’ve been talking to others in this space recently, and it’s no wonder so many climate advocates are feeling burned out right now.
Here’s my one big piece of advice, wherever you find yourself on the climate action spectrum. From those who are still getting comfortable eating beans to those who are planting trees every day this spring, and to everyone in between – this one is for you!
PJOTT – Pick Just One Thing Today
My personal PJOTT is to lean into what’s real – real people, real content, real flavour. This afternoon, I am starting my herb garden for the summer. It’s still a little cool overnight in Toronto, but what the heck, let’s be optimistic!
That’s it for this edition. Please support the climate and sustainable living advocates in your life and your feed. The real people sharing real content 🙂 In this time of distractions and AI-generated slop, we need all the support we can gather. I would also appreciate purchases of Good Food, Healthy Planet – buy one for your sister and your neighbour too. Include it in your book club! Reply to this email if you are hosting an event close to me. If the stars align, I would love to drop in.
